HOW TO UPDATE YOUR ALLRIGHT ENHANCEMENTS TO VERSION 1.0.2
Updating ALLright to version 1.0.2 is easy and takes only a few minutes. All you need to do is follow the four steps, below. Read all four steps, then begin updating. (It’s easy; don’t worry.)
1. Restart your Macintosh and hold down the shift key to disable extensions.
2. Double-click on the “Updater 1” application to update your ALLright Extension, which is in your Extensions folder.
3. Double-click on the “Updater 2” application to replace older ALLright modules and applications with new ones. The application will present a directory dialog asking you to create a folder into which the new ALLright applications will be installed. The dialog suggests the name “ALLright Enhancements” for the folder, but you can call it anything you like. If you decide to replace your old ALLright Enhancements folder with the new one, that’s fine. If you don’t, that’s fine too. Either way, the updater will remove the outdated ALLright applications for you.
4. Restart your Macintosh. (Updater 2 will do this for you.)
That’s it! You’re ready to use ALLright Enhancements 1.0.2.

COMPATIBILITY
ALLright is fully compatible with System 7.0 and greater, including System 7 Pro, System 7.5, and Apple System Update 3.0. This version is also fully compatible with Power Macintosh.
COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER UTILITY PACKAGES
Some parts of ALLright perform functions similar to other utility packages, both commercial and shareware. Some of these packages expect exclusive access to your Macintosh and are probably incompatible with some parts of ALLright.
The installer will check your system for the follow utilities. If any of these are detected, some ALLright modules will not be installed. If this is the case, the complete list of what modules did not get installed will be in the ALLright Installation Notes. You may wish to un-install any of these utilities before using the installer.
Extension managers:
Conflict Catcher (Casady & Greene), Extensions Manager (Apple Computer), and Now Startup (Now Utilities)
Apple Menu modifiers:
Now Menus (Now Utilities), Behierarchic (shareware), and Extended Apple Menu (shareware)
Directory Dialog modifiers (Open and Save dialogs):
SuperBoomerang (Now Utilities) and Directory Assistance (Norton Utilities)
COPYright AND COPYright Pro OWNERS
ALLright incorporates COPYright and COPYright Pro into the ALLright Copies module. If you have COPYright or COPYright Pro installed, the ALLright installer will automatically remove it.
DEFAULT HOT KEYS
ALLright ships with two Hot Keys assigned as defaults. Because ALLright Hot Keys may override shortcuts from your favorite applications, we wanted to make you aware of them. ALLright's default Hot Keys are listed below.

If either of these Hot Keys conflicts with existing shortcuts you can change them from the Hot Key Browser, available in the ALLright menu, or the ALLright Notes module.
ONLINE QUICKSTART
ALLright ships with a new type of online help very similar to the “Finder Shortcuts” screens available under the Balloon Help menu while in the Finder. We call these online help screens “QuickStarts”. You can access a QuickStart for any ALLright module at any time from the Balloon Help menu while ALLright Manager is the active application. QuickStarts are designed to give you basic information needed to understand and use any ALLright module. QuickStarts are very similar to the QuickStarts that accompany each ALLright module in the ALLright Reference Manual.
